A Sense of Emergency

The long arm of the law is always around the corner, hiding and waiting to grab them, nab them, all those who have dissented or are even likely to dissent or have thought about dissenting or are likely to think about it.

Freedom has acquired a new working definition, that eats away at almost everything independence is meant to signify. As long as one is subservient to the government, one is fully free to do whatever one likes. But, any indication that one is veering away from the establishment, and one's liberty ceases to be free.

The articles in the constitution that would normally be the harbingers of such things, are lying unused. There is no need to invoke them if there is no opposition to the government.

There is a sense of emergency in everything around, especially to usurp things.
